Louisa + David
We lived about five miles from each other in Naples.
I originally moved up here with my late wife. We looked into this place in 2008 and she hated it. Thought it was too regimented, too much like Stepford wives.
We closed on our house in 2017. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in March 2018. We moved in April and she passed away in May.
One of the final things she said was “We were really gonna love it here.”
In 2019 I went on a cruise - Louisa’s on it. Come to find out we lived five miles from each other in Naples.
She bought a couch from my wife from a consignment shop where she worked at. It was a half-off, half-day Wednesday - every Wednesday. Louisa walks in and sees a sofa that she has to have, and puts a downpayment on it. My late wife orchestrated the transaction.
We’ve been dating since the pandemic hit.
She has her place, I have my place, and we go on vacations together
It all seems to work, you know, except when it doesn’t.
